Elks Lodge to hold annual ‘Elks Against Cancer’ event to benefit Gilda’s Club of Rochester Sunday

HENRIETTA, N.Y. (WHEC) — One local organization is keeping up its yearly battle against cancer!

The Rochester Elks Lodge #24 will hold its fifth annual “Elks Against Cancer” event on Sunday to benefit Gilda’s Club of Rochester.

Gilda’s Club helps people affected by cancer in the community.

The event starts at 1 p.m. and will go until 4 p.m. at 3525 East Henrietta Road.

This event is open to the public and will feature a chicken barbecue, raffles, a chance auction, activities, and a booth supporting Alex’s Lemonade Stand. Information on services and programs for families impacted by cancer will also be available.

There is no admission fee. The chicken barbecue is $15 (available till sold out) and a hot dog/hamburger dinner is $8.

This event is intended to bring awareness to the local resources available for families of cancer sufferers.
