Rochester man sentenced to 25 to life in prison for predatory sexual assault against a child

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A Rochester man Thursday was sentenced to 25 years to life in prison after being convicted on one count of predatory sexual assault against a child.
Miguel Cotto, 47, was convicted in October for continuous sexual abuse of a child younger than 13.
The District Attorney’s Office said the conviction was possible because the young victim was able to work with investigators to face her abuser in court.
The abuse happened between November 2018 and January 2020.
