RPD: 25-year-old man seriously injured after shooting on Lewis Street

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A man was seriously injured after being shot on Lewis Street early Sunday morning.

Rochester Police responded around 3:15 a.m. to the 100 block of Lewis Street for the report of a man shot.

When officers arrived, they found a 25-year-old man who was shot at least once in the lower body. An officer immediately applied a tourniquet to stabilize his injury.

The man was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital with serious injuries but is expected to survive.

No one is in custody at this time. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
