Matt Milano returns to Bills practice
ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WHEC) – Buffalo Bills linebacker Matt Milano re-joined the Buffalo Bills for a walk-through practice on Wednesday. On Thursday, he was limited, as the team prepares for Kansas City.
The All-Pro linebacker has been out since the summer with a biceps injury. He missed most of the 2023 season with a fractured leg. But when healthy, Milano is one of the most feared LBs in the NFL.
“That’s ‘All-Pro Lano’,” said offensive tackle Dion Dawkins. “The impact is immediate. The presence is immediate. His voice, his aura is immediate.”
Milano’s last full season was in 2022 when he played in 15 games and was named to the All-Pro Team and the Pro Bowl. Since then, injuries have slowed him down and the now 30-year old is hoping to finish out the 2024 season healthy.
“For him to have the type of spirit that he has behind having an injury, I salute it, because it can be hard,” said Dawkins.
In his absence Terrel Bernard, Dorian Williams, and Baylon Spector have filled in at LB and have seen increased roles. Bernard has also been in and out of the lineup with injuries.
There is no timetable for Matt Milano’s return, but the Bills have a bye week after the Kansas City game, so Dec. 1 on Sunday Night Football against San Francisco seems like a potential target date.
