ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Friday was Make Art Day at the Rochester Contemporary Art Center (RoCo).

RoCo had art supplies on hand after its first Friday artist talk by Erica Bryant at 7 p.m. so that attendees could make a work of art for the East Avenue gallery’s 6×6 fundraiser.

Executive Director Bleu Cease believed one specific style of art would be popular at the event.

"The artist that gave a talk, Erica Bryant, and the artist who interviewed her, Lydia Bode Rice, are both collage artists so we’re anticipating that a fair number of submissions 6×6 tonight will be inspired by Erica and Lydia," Cease said.

Walk-in entries are due April 9 and if you send it by mail, they’re due on June 12.

The exhibit opens on June 4.

You’ll be able to buy any 6×6 piece there for $20.
