ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Running toward greatness. That’s the every day of approach for Edison Tech’s Juhadi Webbs. He’s athletically multi-talented.
"Right now I play three: Football, Track, and Basketball," Webbs said.
When he’s not doing that, he’s scoring big in the classroom. Webbs has a 4.58 GPA. It’s landed him on the honor roll and high honor roll. To him, it’s anything but challenging.
"School comes easy to me," Webbs said. "It’s always been easy to me. I just go in and do my work."
It might be tough to balance that with athletics, but he uses what would normally be free time for all kids to get his work done.
"Having free time outside of school like on the weekends," Webbs said.
When he’s not in the classroom, he’s running laps on the track or through empty halls, however, he gets his practice in.
"The coach is like very supportive, very nice, very caring and they help you do well," Webbs said.
School and athletics haven’t been much of a balancing act for Webbs but he hopes to maintain the happy equilibrium he’s set so far: high grades and a low run time.
Congrats to Juhadi Webbs on being this week’s News10NBC Scholar-Athlete of the Week!
