ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT) is once against postponing its deadline for eligible students and staff to get their COVID-19 booster shot.
When the school announced the requirement in early January, its initial deadline was Monday, Jan. 31, or within 14 days of becoming eligible.
Just three days before the deadline, RIT announced it would be postponed until Monday, Feb. 28.
Wednesday, the school announced it had pushed the deadline for the booster to the end of the semester, May 15.
It also announced that it’s planning to modify its indoor masking requirement on campus and in classrooms after Spring Break, and promised more information in Mid-March.
