ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WHEC) – Buffalo Bills star cornerback Tre White made his return to the practice field on Wednesday.

The All-Pro CB had been held out since tearing his ACL last Thanksgiving against the New Orleans Saints.

Buffalo has been mindful of a depleted secondary, drafting Kaiir Elam and Christian Benford in response to White’s injury.

Since then, safety Micah Hyde suffered a season-ending neck injury and got surgery for it. He’s on track to return for the 2023 season.

Jordan Poyer and other members of the Bills secondary have also been banged up as the season has rolled on.

Bills players have been excited to see White back practicing with the team.

“I think the biggest things was me just seeing him smile, seeing him laugh, man. It meant a lot to me and I knw it meant a lot to him, because he’s been putting in work man,” said linebacker Tremaine Edmunds.

Bills head coach Sean McDermott said White will not play in week 6 against the Kansas City Chiefs.

Buffalo’s bye week is week 7, so White could return for week 8 at home on Sunday Night Football against the Green Bay Packers.
