Geneseo man arrested for several charges related to two investigations

LEICESTER/MOUNT MORRIS, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Livingston County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Geneseo man on a series of charges spanning from impaired driving to passing counterfeit bills.

Marco Ramirez, 26, was charged in connection to a Jan. 26 incident in Leicester, where he is accused of passing $100 counterfeit bills.

On Feb. 6, deputies responded to an address in Mount Morris for the report of a stolen vehicle. Ramirez was arrested for DWAI Drugs, and also found to be in possession of suspected fentanyl, methamphetamine, and prescription pills, according to deputies. He was also charged with third degree grand larceny.

Investigators then met with Ramirez about the previous incident and ended up charging him with felony criminal possession of a forged instrument and petit larceny.

He was arraigned and released on his own recognizance.
