ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Police are investigating another shooting on Pardee Street Tuesday afternoon less than a day after Monday night’s deadly shooting at 56 Pardee St. was taken down.

The shooting happened just before 2:30 p.m. Tuesday. Police say the victim, a 34-year-old Rochester man, was taken to Rochester General Hospital with at least one gunshot wound to the lower body by a private vehicle. He is expected to survive.

Dayquan Williams, 18, was killed in that Monday night shooting. His death is being investigated as a homicide. Police say at this time, they do not know if the two shootings are related, and they are both still under investigation.

Lt. Greg Bello says the RPD is going to have large lights, like the kinds used at events, on Pardee Street for the time being and that on Wednesday, the RPD will share more information about what it is doing after two back-to-back violent incidents on the street. Police said they believe the vacant house that the Monday night homicide happened at is being used to sell drugs.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
