Greece man charged with attempted disseminating indecent material to a minor in Canandaigua sting

CANANDAIGUA, N.Y. (WHEC) — A Greece man is facing charges after the Canandaigua Police Department says he thought he was talking to a 14-year-old but was actually talking to an undercover detective.
Daniel R. Cookinham, 38, was charged with attempted disseminating indecent material to a minor on Saturday, Feb. 5.
Police say he was given an appearance ticket and is due back in court on Feb. 23 and that further charges against him are pending.
