Deputies investigating overnight shooting in Newark

NEWARK, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Wayne County Office of the Sheriff is investigating an overnight shooting in Newark.
Deputies say the shooting took place at Tommy Boy’s Bar on Railroad Avenue in the Village of Newark around 1:30 a.m. on Saturday morning.
Deputies say an apparent confrontation in the bar continued in the parking lot, where a man was shot in the lower body.
That patient was flown by Mercy Flight to to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of non life-threatening injuries.
