First Alert Forecast: Another cool and comfy day before the heat cranks this week

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – Another wonderful weather day is expected Sunday with plenty of sun and cool and comfy temperatures.

Sunshine will be in abundance today, but highs will remain on the cool and comfy side with highs near 70. It will also be a bit breezy this morning before wind subsides this afternoon.

The pleasant weather conditions continue into Monday, but a warm front will approach late Monday with increased cloud cover and a chance for showers and a rumble of thunder late Monday night. Most of Monday will be filled with sunshine, but clouds do look to increase towards the late evening hours before a chance for rain after midnight.

Shower chances do look to continue into early Tuesday morning as the front pushes east, but a washout is not expected as sun returns in the afternoon. This warm front will also make it turn much warmer with highs in the mid 80s by Tuesday afternoon.

We will continue to warm up with highs near or above 90 Wednesday afternoon. Temperatures take a slight dip into the low 80s for the remainder of the week, but it will remain muggy. Dew points will increase late Tuesday and reach the mid 60s by Wednesday afternoon and remain muggy through the rest of the week.
