Harborfest at Ontario Beach Park is back.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) – It’s the return of a Rochester staple, it’s been ten years in the making! Harborfest at Ontario Beach Park is back.

This exciting event marks the opening of the summer season at the beach, as well as the 200th anniversary of Monroe County and the Charlotte Genesee Lighthouse.

Harborfest features entertainment on both days, including professional sand sculpting demonstrations and a car show. Activities include a 5k, a volleyball tournament, children’s area, food vendors, tours of the historic lighthouse and free rides on the 116-year-old Dentzel Carousel.

The boat parade was canceled due to high waves.

Area businesses feature food and beverage specials all weekend.
