ROCHESTER, N.Y. The Genesee Brewery Keg Tree is coming back for the holiday season.
Mark your calendars! The Keg Tree lighting event will be Friday, Dec. 2 at the Genesee Brew House. Starting later this month, a team of Keg Tree elves will stack more than 500 empty Genesee Kegs before adding all the lights.
“What could be more Rochester than hanging out with 8,000 of your closest friends and family, braving any kind of weather — shorts, t-shirts, who knows, don’t put them away yet, you never know — and having a Genny around the giant keg tree?” Genesee Brew House Brewmaster Dean Jones said. “That sounds like a blast to me.”
There will also be local food and beer trucks. Genesee’s brewmaster also announced Wednesday that Genesee is bringing back the Keg Tree Ale. This year it’s cinnamon cream.
