ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The second day of a virtual conference series on "economic justice for all" was Thursday.

Action for a Better Community (ABC) is presenting the series called "Economic Justice for an Inclusive Recovery" and the group says it focuses on historic racial injustices.

ABC says it wants to make sure that physical, social and emotional health is equitable.

The first day of the conference was on Jan. 13 and addressed what ABC calls the racial health gap and health disparities, whereas

Thursday’s topics dealt more with economic development.

"If you look at the aid formulas in our communities, the distribution of that aid doesn’t seem to solve the underlying challenges,” said Simeon Banister with the Rochester Area Community Foundation. “Right, it’s almost like a bandaid, instead of setting the broken leg and allowing it to heal."

This is the second year of ABCs virtual conference series.
