ROCHESTER, N.Y. — It’s a nice start to Friday with dry, mild, and cloudy conditions through mid-morning.
Rain arrives between 10 a.m. and noon from south to north. Rain will be steady and locally heavy through the afternoon and evening hours before it ends a little after midnight.
Rainfall amounts will average 1-2 inches across the region with local 3 inch amounts possible. We’re not anticipating any widespread flooding since we have had a very dry summer and fall but local issues are likely.
Things to watch out for will be ponding on the roads, poor drainage flooding due to leaves, and basement flooding. Weather dries out some tomorrow with a cooler breeze Saturday and just some passing showers in the afternoon.
Stay tuned to News10NBC for the latest on the heavy rain and a much colder pattern for next week.
