Geneva to have week-long winter arts & film festival in February

GENEVA, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Geneva BID will hold the downtown festival from February 5 – 12.

The festival will have a variety of things for people to do. The Geneva Downtown Winter Lantern Parade will begin at 6:30 p.m. at Genesee Park. No date is specified, but the Dove Gallery will have a lantern making workshop on January 30th in preparation for the parade.

At 7 p.m. on February 11, the Geneva Downtown Film Festival will take place at The Smith. About 100 filmmakers submitted content to be played at the film festival. Films genres of any short work is accepted and there will be first place prizes in high school, college, general, and 5-minute Micro Films categories. Admission is free for everyone who attends.

There will be other art-themed events throughout the week of the festival.
