Bills finish with top defense for first time in history

ORCHARD PARK, N.Y. (WHEC) — Buffalo made some history on the other side of the ball. Leslie Frazier’s unit finished as the top-scoring defense in the league for the first time in franchise history. Along with the seventeen points a game they allowed, the Bills also limited teams to just under 273 yards on average, also a league-best.
They’re also the first time in 10 years to be top D in the league without a single player named to the Pro Bowl, but with the compliment offensive lineman Dion Dawkins gave that unit, nothing else would matter.
"Any time we can have Michael Jordan on the field, why not do it?" Dawkins said. "When I say Michael Jordan, he was the best. Kobe Bryant, he was the best. If they’re saying our defense is the best, why not have our defense on our side."
"It’s honestly just a blessing and that just goes to show what we’re able to do tonight and the love that we have on this defense and guys just want to go out there and play for each other and that’s what they did tonight," said safety Micah Hyde.
