Gates Police warn about increase in porch pirating

GATES, N.Y. (WHEC) — The Gates Police Department is warning residents about an increase in porch pirating.
In a Facebook post, it warned that someone in a silver-colored car stole an Amazon package off the front porch of a Lori Lane home just before 4 p.m. Wednesday.
Police say that the problem is growing as more people order items online.
