Steuben County K9 recognized for help finding missing teen

CORNING, N.Y. (WHEC) — A Steuben County K9 named Twiggy is being recognized for helping to find a missing teen.
The Sheriff’s Office said it got the call for a missing child in Corning Wednesday morning.
Twiggy not only found the missing person’s cell phone but then tracked that scent to a trail at the Spencer Crest Nature Center.
That’s where the teen was found.
They are being treated for hypothermia and frostbite.
This is even more special for Twiggy, because he just celebrated a birthday on New Year’s Day.
