RUSH, N.Y. – A Horse’s Friend held an open house on Sunday at their new location in the Town of Rush. Members of the community got a chance to visit the new facility, meet their 19 program horses, and learn more about our horsemanship program opportunities.

Established in 2004, A Horse’s Friend is an outreach program that exposes youth from the inner city and underserved populations to new opportunities with horses.  AHF is a unique program promoting positive values, increasing social competencies, and teaches children respect through the use of horses and horseback riding.

AHF has provided children alternatives to street activities. The program provides an environment in which all riders can “saddle up for success”, support each other, and develop special bonds with other children and animals, all while helping to develop their full potential, and becoming more productive citizens within their community.
