U of R requiring COVID-19 booster for spring semester
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The University of Rochester is requiring all eligible students to get a COVID-19 booster shot before returning to campus for the spring semester.
The university says students who are vaccinated but not currently eligible for a booster will be required to get the booster within 30 days of becoming eligible and students who received a valid religious or medical exemption will be exempt from the booster requirement as well.
Booster shots help slow COVID’s spread, protect against severe symptoms, reduce hospitalizations & deaths

The U of R said it is still finishing a system for students to submit proof of a booster to the University Health Service and will provide that information in the new year.
