Neighbors in Irondequoit light up Santa’s runway

IRONDEQUOIT, N.Y. (WHEC) — Santa’s runway is lit!

People living on Belcoda Drive in Irondequoit do it every year.

One neighbor who was out lighting his luminaries says he lives in a very festive neighborhood.

They spend a lot of time making the holiday special for the children on the street and for each other.

"The kids love it we get a lot of slow cars driving down the street and these candles will go till morning so it’s pretty cool and I have grandkids now so they like it," said Ron Rajca, one of the neighbors.

The neighborhood says this is the 28th year of families lighting the luminaries to guide Santa to Irondequoit.
