U.S. House to launch investigation into deadly Astroworld festival

WASHINGTON D.C. (WHEC) — The House Committee on Oversight and Reform is looking at exactly what led to the crowd surge that ultimately left 10 people dead.

Dozens more were injured in the tragic event at the Houston rapper’s festival.

The hearing will look at Live Nation’s role in the planning and safety of Astroworld.

Information is requested by early January. House members have cited reports that staff was inexperienced to deal with what transpired.
