L3Harris delivers imager to NASA

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A local company just made another delivery to NASA.

Technology made by L3Harris in Rochester will be used to detect rapidly-changing events like hurricanes, fires and thunderstorms.

L3Harris said its weather imagers will be integrated into the GOES-U satellite and help the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration capture continuous images of Earth every five minutes.
