Amazon driver threatened with gun

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — An Amazon driver was at the corner store of 540 Portland Ave. Saturday afternoon when she was approached by a man with a gun in the parking lot.

According to Rochester PD, at approximately 4:20 p.m., the driver stopped in the store to grab something. While in the parking lot, police say she was approached by a male wearing a winter cap, red hoodie and blue jeans.

The man produced a handgun from his waistband. The driver was able to safely retreat from the male, according to police.

The driver was able to flag down an Irondequoit police officer, and shortly after, Rochester PD responded to investigate.

Law enforcement is still reviewing the video and working on the investigation. Police say the driver is safe.
