Rochester Police: Man in custody following stolen car chase

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester Police say a man is in custody following a gas station gunpoint robbery that turned into a car chase Monday afternoon.
Officers went to the reported robbery scene at the Valero gas station on Norton Street at Joseph Avenue just before 12:45 p.m. When they got there, police saw the now-stolen car driving off, which led to the chase.
After about 25 minutes, RPD says it took the man into custody about a mile away on Harris Street.
Police say the person the man stole the car from was not hurt. More information is expected to be shared.
