Josh Allen day-to-day with foot sprain

TAMPA BAY, FL (WHEC) — The Bills quarterback had a boot on his foot postgame Sunday, and following an MRI Monday, it turns out his foot is sprained.

The injury happened during the fourth quarter when Allen was in the pocket and fell awkwardly on a tackle.

He didn’t come out of the game but did say it was "pretty sore" in the postgame press conference Sunday.

Backup Mitchell Trubisky could see some reps during practice as Buffalo hosts Carolina on Dec. 19.

On Monday, Bills Head Coach Sean McDermott announced that Josh Allen will be day-to-day with a foot sprain.

He added that he isn’t sure if Allen will practice on Wednesday but instead that they will take things one day at a time.
