Livingston County man accused of breaking into house, stealing ammunition

NUNDA, N.Y. (WHEC) — A Livingston County man is accused of breaking into a house and stealing ammunition.

Deputies say, Daniel Brown, 36, of Nunda also accessed firearms inside a home on Sand Hill Road in the Town of Portage at around 3:15 p.m. Monday.

Investigators say Brown was caught loading ammunition into guns in the home by the property’s caretaker.
Brown took off without any of the guns but is accused of stealing a box of .22 ammunition.

He was caught shortly after and charged with first degree felony burglary, first degree felony criminal use of a firearm, felony criminal possession of a firearm and petit larceny.

He’s being held on $5,000 bail or $10,000 secured bond and an order of protection was issued for the alleged victims.
