Roc Holiday Village, other events adjust hours, cancel activities due to threat of high winds Saturday

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— With strong, damaging winds projected to fly through the Rochester area Saturday evening, at least two large community events have either delayed hours or canceled some activities.

ROC HOLIDAY VILLAGE

Organizers with the Roc Holiday Village said the event will close early at 3 p.m. on Saturday. However, several events are canceled as of Friday afternoon.

• Ice Skating and Rentals presented by Wegmans
• Petting Zoo Presented by Swan Tile & Marsh Construction Services, Inc.
• Live music inside The Lodge on the Buckingham Properties Stage
• Curling Demonstration presented by Rochester Curling Club
• Flower City Pride Band
• Private Igloos scheduled between 2:30 and 11 p.m.

In exchange for the early end, organizers have extended the festival to go for an extra day. Now, you’ll be able to go to the village on Tuesday from 4 to 11 p.m.

Avon Wesleyan Church Live Nativity Hayride

Organizers with the Avon Wesleyan Church told News10NBC its Live Nativity Hayride is canceled for Saturday night. The free hayride will have extended hours Friday night from 6:30-9:30 p.m.
