Man seriously injured after shooting on North Clinton Avenue now in stable condition

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The man who was seriously injured in a shooting on North Clinton Avenue and Sullivan Street Friday is now in stable condition.

Police say a ShotSpotter activation at around 3 p.m. Friday was followed by several calls from residents saying they heard shots in the area.

Police told us the 26-year-old victim was taken to an area hospital.

The scene is right near The International Plaza, where police say a community event was being held as the shooting happened. An officer on the scene told News10NBC he believes it was an event to help families get their Christmas trees.

Police say no suspects are in custody. Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
