Police, Medical Examiner’s investigation underway after contractor finds possible human remains at site of old cemetery

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester Police and the Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office are investigating after possible human remains were found while a contractor was digging on a road near St. Paul Street.
It happened on Tyler Street just before 11 a.m. Thursday.
Police say the Medical Examiner’s Office responded and collected the subject of the call.
Capt. Frank Umbrino said a "very old cemetery" used to be located there.
