Garth Fagan Dance celebrates 51st season Thursday

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Garth Fagan Dance celebrated its 51st season at the stage at The Theatre at Innovation Square Thursday night.

Dec. 2 was the first of five performances through Dec. 5.

Garth Fagan has now been in Rochester for five decades, but last year’s 50th celebration was postponed because of COVID.

Executive Director William J. Ferguson said that’s why they’re going big this year.

"We’re going forward. we’re having our performances. We have a whole new group of young dancers who are ready to show what they can do with Fagan technique. And a group of older dancers."
