Weekend #VaxToSchool clinics announced for Monroe County
ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — New York State is continuing its effort to get more teenagers vaccinated for COVID-19.
Gov. Kathy Hochul Tuesday announced nearly 200 #VaxToSchool pop-up vaccine sites have been established since the program began in early September.
Nine more were announced on Tuesday, two of which were in Rochester — the Vineyard Farm and St. Michael’s Church. The details are below:
The Vineyard Farm and Outdoor Center for Excellence: 126 Sander St. in Rochester on Saturday, Nov. 27 from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson will be offered with Amazon Gift Cards as an incentive.
St. Michael’s Church: 869 N Clinton Ave. in Rochester on Sunday, Nov. 28 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson will be offered with Tops Gift Cards as an incentive.
Registration is not required.
Both of the clinics are for people 12 and up. They are not offering smaller pediatric doses for kids 5-11.
As of Tuesday, just under 69% of New York State teens have been fully vaccinated.
