Troopers: Genesee County man charged after abusing ‘several’ girls younger than 17

LE ROY, N.Y. (WHEC) — A Genesee County man is facing charges after New York State Police say he abused “several” girls younger than 17.

Troopers say the abuse happened in the city of Utica, the village of New York Mills, and the village of New Hartford between June 2011 through the winter of 2018, though Ryan F. Rios, 34, now lives in Le Roy.

Rios was indicted by a grand jury on charges of predatory sexual assault against a child, first and second degree rape, two counts of third degree aggravated sexual abuse, two counts of first degree sexual abuse, four counts of endangering the welfare of a child and two counts of second degree harassment.

A warrant was issued for Rios’s arrest after the October 2021 indictment.

Police say he was arrested on Nov. 17, 2021, and arraigned in Oneida County Court.
