ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Light snow will continue for much of Friday with another inch or so for most of the region. The Yellow Alert was lifted at noon.
As we head into Friday afternoon and evening hours a bit more lake effect will develop south of Ontario and could bring some higher totals near and north of Rochester along Route 104.
Temperatures will slowly fall into the 20s and a gusty north wind will add a wintry chill for Friday. No major issues are expected but some bursts of snow will cause some slick spots at times throughout the day so be prepared for slippery roads as you are out and about.
Lake flakes overnight into tomorrow morning will fade away during Saturday. Snow totals will average 1-2″ across the region with 2-4″ totals north of the Thruway through tomorrow morning.
