Local assemblyman holding blanket drive for animals

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — With the colder months upon us, a local lawmaker is encouraging people to donate new or gently used blankets to local animal shelters.

Assemblyman Jeff Gallahan (R, 131) said the blankets are needed to help keep animals off of cold floors while providing comfort to their joints.

From Wednesday until Dec. 17 blankets can be dropped off at the following locations:

  • Assemblyman Jeff Gallahan’s office at 70 Elizabeth Blackwell St. in Geneva (315-781-2030).
  • Victor Town Hall at 85 E Main St. (585-742-5000).
  • Waterloo Village Hall at 41 West Main St. (315-539-9131).
  • Bristol Town Hall at 6740 County Road 32 (585-229-2400).
  • Manchester Town Hall at 1272 County Road 7 (585-289-3010 or 315-462-6224).
