ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — A Rochester man charged in a deadly shooting over the summer was indicted by a grand jury Tuesday.

The shooting happened back in August but SWAT and the Rochester Police Major Crimes Unit arrested Tyrique Griffin late last month.

On Aug. 28, police say he chased Keegan Whitley for at least a quarter of a mile before shooting him on Flower City Park.

Griffin already had an outstanding bench warrant for failing to appear in court on a pending criminal charge.

He’s now charged with murder, assault, and criminal possession of a weapon.
