Cornell lifts shelter in place order for North Campus in Ithaca
ITHACA, N.Y. (WHEC) — Cornell University lifted its shelter in place order for its North Campus in Ithaca just after 7 p.m. Tuesday.
It was issued at around 3:30 p.m. Tuesday because the university said police were pursuing a man with a gun in Cayuga Heights.
The university tweeted saying to lock doors and windows, and avoid the area.

Anyone in the following buildings was asked to continue to shelter in place:

- Africana Center
- Akwe:kon
- Alpha Chi Sigma
- Alpha Epsilon Phi
- Alpha Epsilon Pi
- Alpha Gamma Rho
- Alpha Xi Delta
- Alpha Zeta
- Beta Theta Pi
- Delta Chi
- Ecology House
- Kappa Delta Rho
- Phi Delta Theta
- Phi Kappa Tau
- Phi Mu
- Pi Beta Phi
- Pi Delta Psi
- Pi Kappa Phi
- Sigma Chi
- Sigma Delta Tau
- Tobin Field House
- Wari Coop
- Zeta Beta Tau
- 150 Triphammer
All events on North Campus scheduled for Tuesday night were canceled, and prelims will be rescheduled, the university announced.

This comes just two days after a bomb threat shut down much of the campus Sunday. Law enforcement officials said no credible threats were found.
