Rochester ranked among US’s best cities for donut lovers

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester loves its donuts and now we’re getting national attention for our love of the iconic breakfast treat.

Rent.com compiled a list of the best cities in the country for donut lovers and Rochester ranked number two.

The website looked at the 150 most populated cities in the country, then looked at the proportion of donut businesses in a city, donut businesses per capita and donut businesses per density.

At a population of 205,695, Rent.com says Rochester has 1 donut per capita and a donuts per density rank of 5.

Worcester, Massachusetts was the only city that beat us out.

Buffalo also made the top 10 list, coming in at number five.
