Bills offensive line struggles evident in Week 9 loss to Jaguars

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (WHEC) — Not the game anyone expected in Jacksonville Sunday. The Bills fell to the Jaguars, 9-6, not scoring a single touchdown and managed 301 total yards of offense. A big part of the struggles on that side of the ball came from upfront.
Sean McDermott’s offensive line allowed four sacks for a loss of 35 yards total. They didn’t do much in the way of stopping the Jacksonville front from bringing pressure to Josh Allen the whole game.
Though Buffalo was missing Spencer Brown and Jon Feliciano McDermott wasn’t making any excuses for the sub-par play.
"It’s hard to do anything without line play," McDermott said. "Everything goes through the line on both sides of the ball and particularly on the offensive side of the ball. I would say, it’s never just one position as you’re saying, ‘Hey, what was the issue?’ It’s more than that, it’s more than one player. We have to do a better job overall offensively of putting our players in position and the players have to execute."
Next on the roster, the Bills are at the New York Jets on Nov. 14 at 1 p.m.
