ALBANY, N.Y. — This afternoon Governor Kathy Hochul announced her plans for this year’s state budget.
Among the priorities, she’s proposing increasing state school aid by 10 percent and tuition hikes for public universities.
She also wants to raise the state cigarette tax from $4.35 to $5.35 per pack. And it also includes a proposal to yet again revise state bail law.
