ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — Rochester is the best small city in America — for vegans.
That’s according to VegNews, a lifestyle magazine for vegans.
An article in VegNews written by Jasmin Singer lists 13 reasons why The Flower City is the best small city for vegans.
She mentions our great vegan-friendly restaurants, like Red Fern, New Ethic Pizza and Natural Oasis Cafe, as well as the Rochester Area Vegan Society, Rochester Lifestyle Medicine’s holistic, plant-based approach to medicine and our green spaces, to name a few.
The 13th and last reason it gives is that people are kind. She says that within a week of moving here, the neighborhood threw a block party welcoming her and her wife, and made sure there was plenty of vegan food.
