Yellow Alert Weather: Dangerous cold and local lake snows

ROCHESTER, N.Y. The arctic air has arrived and will be over us for the rest of today into tomorrow morning.

Temps will stay in the single digits the rest of today and drop to near 0 tonight. Wind gusts will increase to 25-35mph this afternoon producing wind chill feel-like temps to -20 the rest of the day into the evening hours.

Snowfall amounts will generally be light with a coating to an inch for most of us. Later today into tonight the lake snow may get a little better organized along Route 104 into the east side and Wayne County.

A couple of inches are possible in those locations with blowing snow. Stay tuned to News10NBC for the latest updates on the lake snows and when the arctic chill exits the region this weekend.
