Rochester Police: 15-year-old shot in drive-by shooting on Henion Street

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— Rochester Police say a teen is recovering in the hospital after he was shot in a drive-by shooting late Sunday night.

Officers went to the scene at Henion Street and West Main Street just after 11:40 p.m. for a ShotSpotter activation. When they got there, police found evidence shots were fired, but no victim.

At the same time, the teen showed up at Strong Memorial Hospital with at least one gunshot wound.

According to the Rochester Police Locust Club, the union representing officers, at least 15 rounds were fired from at least three guns in the shooting.

Police say the teen is expected to survive. No arrests have been made, anyone with information is asked to call 911.
