Police: Student, age 5, in Syracuse found with magazine and ammunition in backpack

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Syracuse Police say they found a gun magazine and ammunition, but no gun, in the backpack of a 5-year-old student on Monday, according to our Syracuse affiliate CNY Central.
The Syracuse City School District said the student also had a razor blade. The district and police said the student did not appear to have known the items were in their bag.
