Rochester Police searching for suspect in Tuesday night carjacking

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC)— Rochester Police are searching for a suspect after a carjacking on the city’s west side Tuesday night.

Officers went to the scene at Saxton and Maple Streets just before 11 p.m. for the carjacking call. They say a man was at a red light at the intersection when the suspect came up to the car and pointed a gun at him. The man was forced to get out of the car, but was not hurt.

No description of the suspect was shared, but anyone with information is asked to call 911.
