Walk With Willow to be held Sunday

ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The 2021 Walk With Willow is this Sunday, Oct. 24.

This year, the Willow Domestic Violence Center is breaking with its tradition of having men walk in heels in order to draw attention to female survivors, and is pushing to instead highlight every survivor, regardless of their gender.

The walk starts at 9 a.m. at the intersection of Broad Street and Exchange Boulevard and will follow a loop to end at the same place.

The following streets will be closed or open to local traffic only beginning at 8:45 a.m. and will re-open after the last walker passes through:

  • Broad Street from Main Street to Plymouth Avenue.
  • Court Street from Exchange Boulevard to South Avenue.
  • Exchange Boulevard from Main Street to South Plymouth Avenue (access to Corn Hill Landing businesses will remain open).

RTS riders who want to know changes to routes and boarding locations can call 585-288-1700 or check online.
