ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) — The man who was shot on Lamont Place Wednesday morning has died from his injuries, police say.

It happened at around 7:30 a.m. on Lamont Place, which is near Webster Avenue on Rochester’s northeast side.

19-year-old Christian Santiago of Rochester was taken to Strong Memorial Hospital in critical condition. Police say he was pronounced dead shortly after he arrived.

Investigators say they believe Santiago was in an argument with the person who shot him right before it happened, and it appears to be an isolated incident.

They are not releasing any more details at this time.
